Rest In-Between

Today, I wake up early with a different longing
For the past eight months and one week, I woke up early to fill out,
To accomplish what I didn't finish yesterday,
To fill in what is missing,
To fill up the cup of excellence.

Every day, I get up for an accomplishment
However, my body is not mine
My body is a holy temple
A gift from God yet He is truly the owner.

I do not cooperate when He says, "rest"
I love the point of dwelling in pressure
For a purpose of meeting the deadline
But my time is not mine too.

The way I abuse myself for the sake of "next level version"
The rushing and stressing to go with the flow
To go like every second of time is a waste if not used seriously
It may look that all of these intentions honor God but it tires you inside is not totally honoring God.

Your body and your time are God's
So, take it easy. Take it lightly.
Rest. Repent. Render everything to God.

The time for rest is not a waste.
The time for rest is a part of the process of excellence
When you rest after all the hard work means God is in control of your battles

So do not worry.

You have to keep going
However, remember, rest is what keeps you going.
Trust the power of rest God is telling you.

God loves to see us holding on to His promises to reach our promised land, but God is not an abusing and pressuring God.

Do not pressure yourself instead allow God's process for your life.
We will get there while learning to rest in-between.

I wrote these words after reading the first part of the book written by Ms. Joena San Diego titled Letters of Selah. So inspired to write what is inside of my mind and heart while listening to Lenny LeBlanc's song, Above All.

Matthew 11:28-30
